The Sweet Root of the Adaptogen Shelf
Alcohol-Based Tincture | 1 oz Dropper | Glycyrrhiza glabra in Adirondack Water & Organic Alcohol
Licorice root is the sweet root Connie counts among her adaptogens, alongside holy basil, ashwagandha, and astragalus, and the one she tells folks to brew with ginger when a tea is wanted. This tincture is the root alone, Glycyrrhiza glabra, in 45% Adirondack water and certified organic, non-GMO alcohol. It is a short-course herb by tradition, not an everyday one: a few weeks on, then a rest.
- Single-herb tincture: licorice root and nothing else
- One of Connie’s adaptogens; she pairs it with ginger
- Naturally sweet; takes the edge off bitter blends when you add a few drops
- A short-course herb: use for a few weeks, then rest
Ingredients: Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice Root), 45% Adirondack Water, certified organic non-GMO alcohol.
Usage: 1/3 dropper, three to four times per day, for up to four weeks at a time. Not for use during pregnancy or while nursing. Licorice is a strong herb: if you are under a doctor’s care or take prescriptions, ask before starting.
